The NY Buzz, the local WTT team in the Capital District, hosted the Washington Kastles tonight at the Armory in downtown Albany. The Buzz moved from the lovely outdoor court at Schenectady's Central Park to Albany for financial reasons. I much prefer to watch tennis outdoors than inside a humid gymnasium, but that didn't matter since Serena played some excellent tennis!
The Buzz rallied to beat the Kastles by the slimmest of margins, 22-21, concluding with a 7-4 Buzz supertiebreak win.
We are lucky to have Serena visit after just playing in the final at Wimbledon this past weekend against her sister Venus (who won). The sisters did take home the title for Women's Doubles.
